As Monday nights go, not a bad way to spend it. Eating homemade döner kebab fake-away and watching Bad Boys for Life, which I recommend!

There wasn’t much left on this platter once the boys had been through it! Actually, that’s not entirely true, they left most of the tomatoes & lettuce! 🤦🏻‍♀️

To make for four:

🥙 Ingredients:

1 kilo of lamb (or beef) mince
100 gms goose/duck fat
1 finely diced onion
2 tbls garlic purée
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

🥙 Method:

Add all the spices to the mince and mix with your hands to ensure it’s all thoroughly mixed together

Cover with cling film and marinate for at least two hours in the fridge

After two hours, put the mix into a food processor (not absolutely necessary if you don’t have one), and pulse until the mince resembles a paste

Line a bread tin with parchment paper, and put the mince paste in, making sure to scrape out as much as possible from the processor

Pop the tin onto a baking tray, and put it into the oven on 180 for 25 minutes, and then remove from the tin and turn upside down onto the baking tray. Cook for a further 90 minutes, rotating at the mid-way point.

In the meantime, prepare your chips, I usually do melizcooks chips, as the boys love them. You can find that method on Meliz’ page. Prep your salad etc., and there’s still time leftover for a cuppa in between!

I slice it vertically so that it looks like döner, equally, you can just slice it horizontally (which is easier tbh). Either way, Enjoy! 😋
