Fridge raid to use up odds and ends of food rather than creating a new dish and then having more leftovers than I started with!
The ‘how to’ of this easy lunch-time snack is 👉🏼👉🏼 (sorry for the rays of sun pouring through the window onto the photos!).
All of the ingredients came from sainsburys in my weekly shop. Recipe and method from twisted 👌🏼with a little bit of tweaking from me, because I can seldom leave a recipe alone! To make:
X2 21 day matured beef sizzler steaks bashed and cut into strips
1 red pepper sliced
1/2 white onion diced
1/2 tub philadelphia_uki cheese
1 cup grated mozzarella
1 tub tzatsiki (optional)
1 pack puff pastry
1 tsp oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
1 egg whisked
Handful of sesame and poppy seeds mixed (optional)
In a little olive oil, fry the beef, onions and peppers with the seasoning until cooked, and set to one side.
Cut the puff pastry into triangle and arrange into a circle.
Mix the cooked food with the Philadelphia cheese and mozzarella and then evenly distribute it across the bottom of the puff pastry triangles.
Then brush with egg wash the inside of the puff pastry, and wrap each one over, and brush again with egg.
Pop into the oven on 180 for 30 minutes, rotating at the midpoint. In the meantime either make or use shop bought tzatsiki (my husband had his with ketchup! 🤦🏻♀️) and get ready to eat! Enjoy! 😋
