Homemade pizza has been a thing in our house every Saturday night for around the last six weeks or so (we go through phases!).
So when I saw allaneats post that today was the last day for organised by scratchmadepizza and the.pizza.pilot – I knew I had to throw in my contribution with our homemade pizzas from the weekend.
I used jamieoliver pizza dough recipe (shortened version below)👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 Makes 6 large:
800 gms strong bread flour
200 gms ground semolina
1 level tsp fine sea salt
2 x 7 gms fast action yeast
1 tbls golden caster sugar
4 tbls extra virgin olive oil
Sieve the flour, semolina and salt into bowl, and make a well in the middle
In a jug mix the yeast, sugar and olive oil in 650ml of lukewarm water, leave for a few minutes, then pour into the well
Bring everything together and I kneaded for around 12 minutes until the dough was soft and springy
Put it into a large flour-dusted bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Place in a warm place for an hour until it has doubled in size
Divide the dough into six balls and roll them out to the size and thickness you like
Decorate as you like, pop into the oven on 220 for around 10-12 minutes. Enjoy! 😋
