Hubby asked me to try to recreate the cheese and bacon turnovers that we buy from pret whenever we go out – he has two every time with a cuppa. Well.. these arenโ€™t Pret, but they were very tasty! ๐Ÿ˜‹ Iโ€™m not sure what pastry they use, probably a thinner puff pastry, but I draw the line at making my own puff pastry!

Step-by-step method ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ and below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿฅ Ingredients:

1 pack of puff pastry
5 rashers of cooked unsmoked bacon chopped into 3-4 pieces
1/4 block grated cheddar
6 tspโ€™s passata
1 egg whisked
Handful of sesame and nigella seeds (optional)

๐Ÿฅ Method:

Put some flour onto the work surface, and place, then cut the puff pastry into six

Add 1tsp of passata down the middle of the sheet, then add grated cheddar, a couple of bits of bacon (3-4).

Add egg wash on the inner side of the puff pastry and then bring one corner over, and brush the outside with egg wash, repeat with the other side and close it up.

Place on parchment paper, sprinkle a mix of sesame and nigella seeds (optional) over the top. Pop in the oven on 180 for 30 minutes rotating at the midpoint. Enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜‹
