I felt like a bit of a whirling dervish in the kitchen yesterday, really satisfied at the end of it though! For last night’s meal I made the Cypriot meal of Pırasa/Parso, which is essentially, leeks and lamb in a rich tomato sauce, the perfect dipping sauce! Which is why I also wanted to make melizcooks çörek (amazing Cypriot bread) to dip into it. Trust me, try it, you’ll understand, it is fabulous bread and great accompaniment to this dish 😋😋 served with vermicelli rice, yes, I know double carbs, but that happens a lot in our culture 🤣 interestingly, did you know that a branch of Buddhist monks do not eat leeks as they are considered to “excite the senses”, and they would be right! Recipe and method on my grid… have a good day all, I’m off wedding shopping! ☺️
