I hang my head in shame, the study still isn’t done 😜 Honestly, life is too short, I’ll get it done sometime but I’ve been busy doing other stuff!

In the meantime, we eat..! These are hellimli püf böreği (halloumi puff pastries). Easiest thing ever to make, and perfect with a cup of tea ☕️

🧀 Ingredients:

1 hellim grated
1 heaped tbls dried mint
1 beaten egg
1 pack of puff pastry
30 gms melted butter
Flour for dusting

🧀 Method:

Add the mint and egg to the hellim and mix thoroughly. Set to one side.

Put some flour on the working top, then unroll the puff pastry and cut it into 6 squares.

In each square put about a tablespoon of the hellim mix, and then add the egg wash all around. Then pull one corner over to the other until you have made a triangle. Close it tightly and then with a fork, make indentations all around.

Repeat this process until all 6 are done. Put egg wash all over each one and pop into the oven on 180 for 30 minutes rotating at the midpoint. Once they are out of the oven, go over them quickly with some melted butter. Job done. Enjoy! 😋
