🧿 Etli Kuru Fasulye – White Bean (Cannellini) stew with meat.. You should use any meat, historically folks use lamb however all I had was beef mince so I used that as I believe within the recesses of my reminiscence that my Nene used to do this or I may need simply made that up! The opposite custom, and I don’t know whether or not this can be a Turkish factor solely or not however we eat a uncooked onion with it..! Then all you want is the bread which is heaven dipped into the sauce. Don’t ask me why, however as a baby sitting at my Nene’s desk consuming this, I used to eat a uncooked onion with it 🤣 Served with vermicelli rice and a rosemary and sea salt focaccai

  2. Looks yummy! Is this Turkish? This is what my mum normally cooks for a Lebanese family evening meal – I always associated with the Lebanese so it’s nice to see it done by you. And yes we eat it with raw onion too or radishes or fresh leafy herbs like rocket. We cook it in lamb shank meat with tomato sauce. Everyone I know that eat it with onion and coming from the village rather than from Beirut as city folk don’t like eating raw onion 🤣
