The recipe is from taste_team – and the one change I made was so as to add 50g further glacé cherries cos I like them! 😋

200g glacé cherries quartered 
1 cup sultanas 
1/four cup brown sugar

Danish pastry 
2 3/four cups plain flour 
half of tsp salt 
1 tsp floor cardamom 
half of tsp floor nutmeg 
250g butter, chilled, chopped 
3/four heat cup milk 
1 x 7g sachet dry yeast 
1/Three cup white sugar 
1 egg, calmly crushed

Icing
2 cups pure icing sugar, sifted 
1/four cup heat water

Methodologie:

Mix flour, salt, cardamom and nutmeg. Add butter and Switch to a big bowl.

Mix milk, yeast and 1 tbls sugar in a jug. Whisk till mixed. Go away for 10 minutes till bubbles kind

Stir remaining sugar into flour combination. Make a nicely within the centre. Add yeast combination and egg. Stir gently till simply mixed, taking care to not break up butter. Cowl with plastic wrap and place in fridge for four hours.

Evenly mud work floor with flour. Roll dough out to kind a 25cm x 40cm rectangle. Fold into thirds. Flip pastry 90 levels. Roll out into an oblong form once more. Fold into thirds, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Mix cherries, sultanas and brown sugar in a bowl.

Roll dough out to kind a 30cm x 36cm rectangle. Sprinkle cherry combination evenly over dough, leaving a 2cm border at one slim finish.

Ranging from the slim finish, roll up like a Swiss roll. minimize log into 2cm-thick rounds. Place on ready trays and bake for 16 minutes on 180.

To make icing: Mix sugar, water and Stir till easy. If too thick, add extra water.
