🧿 Seabass or Levrek in Turkish is perfect for this dish, cooked in a mix of herbs and booze (spring onions, fresh mint, dill and parsley then pul biber, salt & pepper, paprika, bay leaves, tomatoes, peppers and lemons) and the nearest I could find to Raki/Ouzo was Sambuca. We were very lucky as my youngest son’s friends dad (still with me? 😂) went fishing and brought us back a Seabass and what a tasty dish this was! Served it with crushed roasted new potatoes and the whole lot is gone. I’ll write up the method soon.
