These are amongst the first things that we buy when we land in Cyprus. We then buy them freshly made almost every morning for our breakfast/snacks for the remainder of our holiday. There really is nothing like it, and the oohs and ahhs when you bring them back, squeeze lemon over it and, well, as I said, there’s nothing like it! 😋

I don’t make these bulgur köfte (also known as kibbeh, içli köfte and koupes etc) very often because I find them a faff to make. They always take longer than you think they will and then I wish I hadn’t started!

These ones though… mmmm, it literally went eat one, fry one, surprised we had any left for the photo! 🙊 Actually, these were the only ones we had left! 🤣

Made with fine bulgur, semolina walnuts, beef mince, spices and deep fried 👌🏼 you’ll find these predominantly in the levant countries with other variations around the world.
