This is such a comforting meal, super easy to prepare in 20 minutes and then whack it in the oven and go about your day.

I usually make this Fırın Kebab (which just means cooked in the oven) with chicken thighs or diced lamb. Today it was chicken!

Recipe and method 👉🏼👉🏼 and 👇🏼👇🏼 To make for 4-6:

🥘 Ingredients:

2 chicken thighs per person
3-4 potatoes per person, peeled and quartered
Olive oil
1 finely diced onion
2 garlic cloves finely sliced
2 tins chopped tomatoes
1 tbls paprika paste
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic granules
2 bay leaves
Salt & Pepper to taste
Warm water

🥘 Method:

In a large dish, add the onions, garlic and tomatoes and mix it all together and spread out across the base of your tin.

Then add in the chicken thighs, potatoes and all the spices, bay leaves and seasoning, and mix everything together.

Finally add a good glug of olive oil over your dish, add warm kettle water to three quarters of your dish, cover with foil, and pop into the oven on 180 for 1-1.5 hours. At the 45 minute point, I usually remove the foil to check on the water, turn the potatoes and wait for it to brown. Serve with vermicelli rice, salad and cacık👌🏼
